PlayCap Privacy Policy

PlayCap ("PlayCap," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our users and is committed to protecting the information processed through our service.
PlayCap provides video recording, storage, management, and delivery functionality for sports facilities and their customers. As part of the service, authorized users may connect their Google Account and Google Drive through Google OAuth.
This Privacy Policy explains what information PlayCap accesses, how that information is used, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect and Access
Google Account Information
When you connect your Google Account to PlayCap using Google OAuth, we may receive basic account information provided by Google, such as:
- Your email address
- Basic account or profile information
- Authentication information necessary to verify your account
PlayCap does not receive or store your Google Account password.
Google Drive Data
With your authorization, PlayCap may access Google Drive files and folders necessary to provide the service. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include the ability to:
- Upload video recordings to Google Drive
- Create folders for organizing recordings
- Access files or folders used by PlayCap
- Organize and manage PlayCap-generated video files
- Provide access to recorded videos as part of the PlayCap service
PlayCap only uses Google Drive access for functionality directly related to the PlayCap service.
2. How We Use Information
Information obtained through Google OAuth and Google Drive is used to:
- Authenticate authorized PlayCap users
- Connect PlayCap with Google Drive
- Upload and store video recordings
- Create and organize folders and files
- Manage video recordings generated through PlayCap
- Deliver or provide access to recordings
- Maintain and improve the reliability and security of the PlayCap service
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to file storage and delivery
Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
3. Google API Services User Data
PlayCap's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the applicable Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Information received through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are directly related to PlayCap's functionality.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
PlayCap does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data.
PlayCap does not share Google user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may only be disclosed when necessary to operate the service, comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, protect the security and integrity of the service, or protect the rights and safety of PlayCap, its users, or others.
5. Data Storage and Security
PlayCap takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information processed through the service against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
Google OAuth credentials, access tokens, and related authentication information are handled only as necessary to maintain authorized access to Google services.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect user information, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Data Retention
PlayCap retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate operational records, comply with applicable legal requirements, or resolve technical and security issues.
Video recordings stored in a user's or authorized organization's Google Drive remain subject to the storage and retention settings of that Google Drive account.
7. Revoking Google Account Access
Users may revoke PlayCap's access to their Google Account at any time through their Google Account security and third-party access settings.
After access is revoked, PlayCap will no longer be able to access Google Drive through that authorization unless the user authorizes PlayCap again.
Revoking access does not automatically delete files that were previously uploaded to Google Drive.
8. Data Deletion Requests
Users may request deletion of personal information associated with PlayCap by contacting: playcap.admin@gmail.com
Please provide sufficient information for us to identify the relevant PlayCap account or data.
Where applicable, users may also delete PlayCap-generated files directly from their Google Drive.
9. Children's Privacy
PlayCap is not intended to knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization from a parent, guardian, sports facility, organization, or other responsible party where required by applicable law.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected improperly from a child, we will take reasonable steps to address or delete the information as appropriate.
10. Third-Party Services
PlayCap may use third-party services, including Google services, to provide certain functionality. Use of those services may also be governed by the privacy policies and terms of the respective service providers.
PlayCap is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services outside of PlayCap's control.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PlayCap, our data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
